Fair Trade Elephant Incense Box & Holder

This fair trade incense holder also doubles up as a very useful box for storing your unused incense sticks. Hand carved from wood and inlaid with gold coloured brass elephants along the sides for decoration this incense holder would make a great gift.

Each of these fair trade incense boxes/holders measures approximately 31cm long x max. 4.5cm high.

The importer of this fair trade incense stick box and holder is a member of BAFTS and has been trading fairly for over ten years. They buy fair traded products from India, Indonesia, Nepal and Thailand. Most products are purchased directly from the primary producers. In India they will purchase from larger companies who provide benefits for their workers such as free healthcare and free education. One of their suppliers provide funding for two schools in Rajasthan. One supplier in Nepal supports an orphanage and he gives his workers work clothes and holiday pay. In Indonesia and Thailand where they only deal with the primary producer the supplier may provide advance payments for them to purchase materials and other necessities. All workers are paid a fair price for each product with is above the national average and men and women are paid the same rate.
